My name is Dee Hampton. As I was cleaning out old files in our office this morning, I found a flyer dated 1996 advertising the DIRT KING " the All Terrain Trike". We had gone to a outdoor power show in Louisville, KY that year and saw your booth. Our daughter was 4 at that time and after we got back home we decided to purchase one of these trikes for her.

I just wanted to let you know that trike was the hit of the neighborhood. She ended up taking it to our lawn mower shop and most of the "big kid" customers had a ball with it when she wasn't riding it. Every kid in our neighborhood has grown up riding that trike. Now after 20 years, it still looks brand new!! It is in storage waiting for the grandkids to come along.

Just wanted to say thank you for building such a tough trike. The quality of your equipment is absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work and I hope you are still making these for future generations!

I spend my summers in a small town on Lake Michigan, where I live only a mile from downtown.  I bought two Adult Duallys and two Big Kid Duallys so that my husband, two young grandchildren and I could ride safely in the bike lanes next to the street as well as on the bike trails along the water.  The kids haven't got the experience to maneuver bikes so close to traffic and I no longer have the requisite sense of balance, so these trikes allow us freedom we would otherwise not have.

MCM Manufacturing, Inc. promises to find solutions to any damage that arises as a result of shipping, including part replacement and any shipping charges resulting from returns and exchanges of damaged items.

MCM Manufacturing, Inc.  will assist customers with filing a UPS claim in the event of loss, theft, or denial signature. However, MCM Manufacturing, Inc.  is not responsible for any lost or stolen merchandise. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to contact UPS about any loss or delivery disputes as per our Risk of Loss statement. The purchaser is encouraged to dispute any credit card charges with their Credit Card Company for undelivered merchandise. Doing so allows time to work with UPS, your local authorities, and insurance company regarding any matters of theft.

Notice to Debit / Check Card Users

Please be advised that banks do NOT treat debit or checking cards like a credit card; they can put two "holds" on your funds. First, your funds are held for verification purposes each time you place an order. They are held a second time when we process your sale. Please understand that there is nothing that we can do on our end to resolve this. These holds are internal banking functions of the bank that handles your card account. Additionally, be aware that a pre-authorization is NOT a charge; it only checks your account for available funds, holds those funds, and checks the address information you provided against the card company's records. The "hold" on your funds will eventually drop off the account after a short timeframe (sometimes up to 10 days) that is determined by your bank's policies. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this banking procedure may cause you.

Credit Card Processing

The charge on your statement will appear from MCM Manufacturing, Inc. We verify all billing addresses with credit cards, and if the address you enter does not match the credit card record, we will contact you.

We will honor our warranty should you experience any problem with this product. MCM Manufacturing and the Dirt King USA brand have earned the classification of, “Worlds Best Tricycle”; in over 20 years of high quality manufacturing craftsmanship the Dirt King Tricycle has survived the extraordinary use and abuse in day care and pre-school settings and passed the test of time.

The Dirt King Tricycle warranty is non- transferable.   There are no other express or implied warranties for the Dirt King USA brand tricycle manufactured by MCM Manufacturing, WaKeeney, Kansas.

This warranty is unconditional for the durability of the steel frame and welds under uses intended for this product. A conditional or limited warranty covers all other component parts of the tricycle.

The frame, fork and welds on the Dirt King USA brand tricycle manufactured by MCM Manufacturing are warranted for life;   all other component parts are warranted for twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase.

MCM Manufacturing will replace any frame, fork or component part found to be defective at no charge to owner under the conditions of this warranty. The original owner will be responsible for shipping and handling charges for warranty work after one year from original purchase date.

Your purchase of a Dirt King Tricycle gives you legal rights expressed herein. Your state laws may entitle you to additional rights.

You can initiate a return for unopened or unused items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.* You must return items in unused condition with all original materials included with the shipment. We must receive your returned items at our shipping and delivery facility within 45 days of delivery. We inspect all returned items and award a partial refund for opened or used products. If the return is a result of our error or defective product, we will refund the full cost of the merchandise and shipping charges.

If you initiate a return after 30 days, MCM Manufacturing, Inc. may issue a partial refund depending on elapsed time and condition of merchandise.

*You must initiate the return within 30 days of delivery. We must receive your returned items at our main shipping facility within 45 days of delivery. You can expect to receive your refund within four weeks of shipping your package back to us. In many cases you will receive a refund sooner, but we estimate four weeks because of the time required for return shipping (up to 14 days), product inspection at our returns facility (up to 5 business days), and processing from your bank or credit card company (up to 5 business days). *Warning*

• All Dirt King products are designed for use on level surfaces. Use only at safe, slow speeds. The safe operation of these products is the responsibility of the user and guardian.

Protect Your Head. Wear A Helmet.

• Never ride a tricycle without a helmet. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommend that children wear a helmet that complies with the CPSC standard.
• Tricycle,  Big Kids and Adult Trike helmets can reduce head injuries by 85 percent. Select a helmet that fits snugly and sits flat on the head.
• For children, use the extra padding that comes with the helmet to ensure a proper fit. This padding can be removed as the child head grows.
• Assure Tricycle, Big Kids and Adult Trike Readiness. Make Sure Your Tricycle, Big Kids or Adult Trike is Adjusted Properly.
• Before using your trike, check to make sure all parts are secure and working well. The handlebars should be firmly in place and turn easily. Your wheels must be straight and secure.  Make sure your seat placement is adjusted to your size.

 No Brakes. Always Control Your Speed.

• Always control your speed due to no brakes. If you cannot stop quickly, make sure to control your speed.
• Ride slowly in wet weather, ice, other adverse weather conditions and on unlevel surfaces.

See and Be Seen.

• Wear clothes that make you more visible.  Keep children away from places where there are moving vehicles

Avoid Triking At Night.

• It is far more dangerous to trike at night than during the day. Dirt King Adult and Big Kids trikes are equipped for daylight use and do not have night reflectors to be seen at night.
• Young children should NOT ride at night.

 Stay Alert. Always Keep A Lookout for Obstacles in Your Path.

• Stay alert at all times. Watch out for potholes, cracks, expansion joints, railroad tracks, wet leaves, drainage grates, or anything that could make you fall.  Ideally, sidewalks and playgrounds are best place to ride.
• Be especially careful in wet weather and when there could be ice or frost on your path.

 Avoid Motorized Traffic when Riding.

• Young children, typically under the age of nine, are not able to identify and adjust to many dangerous traffic situations, and therefore, should not be allowed to ride in the street unsupervised. Children who are permitted to ride in the street without supervision should have the necessary skills to safely follow the standard rules around motorized traffic.

Check for Motorized Movement. Always be Aware of The Traffic Around You.

• Over 70 percent of car-bicycle-tricycle crashes occur at driveways or other intersections. Before you enter any street or intersection, check for traffic. Always look left-right-left, and walk your Big Kids or Adult Trike into the street to begin your ride. Childrens tricycle when riden should always be supervised by guardian.

Adult Trike and Big Kids Trike are Considered Vehicles on the Road.

• Just like bicycles, the Adult Trike and Big Kids Trike are considered vehicles. If riding on the road, which we do not recommend, you must obey the same rules as motorists.
• Read your State drivers handbook, and learn and follow all the traffic signs, laws, and rules for operating a vehicle, in this case- a trike on the road.
